Belitung island is part of Indonesia archipelago. It has several beautiful and exotic beaches you should see someday. It is great place for vacation destination and much less expensive when compared with other famous Indonesia vacation destination like Lombok or Bali.
By the way, have you heard about Belitung island before?
Never? Well, it's not your false when you never heard before because this island has not been exposed in intensive way yet. However, there are several tour and travel companies that provide Belitung vacation packages.
Now, let me to continue telling you where the Belitung exactly is. Belitung located within Bangka Belitung archipelago that consists of 98 island, big and small, beside Sumatra. You can check it out via Google map.
The well known vacation destinations in the Belitung island are as follow:
- Tanjung Kiras Beach
- Bukit Berahu resort
- Tanjung Kalayang Beach
- Tanjung Tinggi beach
- Lengkuas Island
Next I am going to tell you regarding the beauty of Tanjung Kelayang as well as Tanjung Tinggi beach but unfortunately I can not attach some pictures because it's not allowed. If you are interested to see the pictures you may go to the links I attach at the bottom of this article.
Tanjung Tinggi beach
The beach is flanked by two peninsulas, is less than 2 km from Tanjung Kelayang beach. you'll find clean white sand, festooned by granite boulders with about 15 meters height at its offshore and shore.
This cove-shaped beach sized approximately 100 meters for the length, 8 meters width in low tide with 1 km long beach, and 5 meters width in high tide. At the east end, there is a pile of rocks which one of the gap forms a passable tunnel. The air flowing inside the rock hall is pretty cool, as in the air-conditioned room.
Across from this beach has been built a resort named "The Villa Lor in Tanjung Tinggi", with complete amenities and be considered as the first of the most comprehensive resort at Bangka Belitung archipelago. Tanjung Tinggi beach region is perfect for sun bathing, fishing, diving, swimming, jet skiing or even enjoying white sand at shore of the beach.
Tanjung Kelayang Beach
Location of the beach is around 27 km from Tanjung Pandan town, is a beach that has an amazing view. The coconut trees along the coast, smooth floury white sand and calm blue sea forms a bay with granite boulders on the west side carpets make this beach is absolutely fascinating.
The crystal clear sea you will discover where fishermen tie their boats Posts prior to departure. Tanjung Kelayang has about 1.5 km of coastline, beach 7 meters wide (broadcast high) and 10 meters (in low wave). This beach stretches for 60 acres located thatched roofs, perfectly suited for sunbathing or swimming in the amazing granite cliffs. After a nice view,Tanjung Kelayang obviously is the right place for photography enthusiasts to satisfy their hobby.
