Anne of Green Gables
With several events, activities, and museums, the island shows its pride in being the inspiration for Lucy Maud Montgomery's endearing novel - "Anne of Green Gables." Published originally in 1908, "Anne of Green Gables" still captivates hearts worldwide. More than 50,000 copies of the novel have been sold since that first publication. Thousands of fans travel annually to the province and they get to visit 'Green Gables' and even meet 'Anne' and her friends.
From July 1-August 22, 2010, children and adults can take part in various activities at "Green Gables Heritage Place." Children can enjoy old-fashioned games and races as well as a puppet show. On August 21-August 22, the Anne of Green Gables Children's Festival will take place on-site.

Prince Edward Island Potatoes
